Honor the fallen

On March 20, 2003, US and coalition forces began military operations in IraqAs of  August 11, 2006, there have been 2598 American deaths in the war in Iraq. At least 8,889 U.S. troops have been wounded in action.  We must remember and honor the North Dakotans that gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Visit to Fort Riley

In October 2005, Earl travelled to Fort Riley, Kansas, to meet with members of the 164th Engineer Battalion of the North Dakota National Guard. Approximately 120 North Dakota soldiers are with the company, which is headquartered at the Minot Armed Forces Reserve Center. They are currently deployed to Iraq.
